I just finished a job interview where I finished 2nd.

I learned I need to promote myself. I need to be more confident.

I just finished reading a blog post from a friend who has inoperable lung cancer. He is a 23 year old non-smoker.

I learned that I worry and complain about the small things too much. I need to focus my energy on the things I have, rather than those I lack in my life. I am lucky.

I just finished reading an email reply from a dear friend.  She said the things I needed to hear and helped me as I move forward in a situation that is kind of sucky.

I learned once again, that life is made rich by having close friendships with people of many ages and backgrounds.  I was reminded of how blessed I am and how my actual reality is richer, in many ways, than the reality I desire.

I just finished a long phase of life.

I learned that no matter how old you are, you're never actually grown up.

I just finished a new drawing.

I learned not everything i create is going to be a work of genius, and i just need to get over it and do things anyway - knowing full well that i may not always live up to my potential.

I just finished a day with my daughter.

I learned I'll learn a lot more from her than she ever will from me.

I just finished falling in love.

I learned timing is everything.  don't let your own timetable dictate when you want it to happen.  let God's.
